Recycle Your Old Mobile Phone
The 'Funky Phone' E-waste arcade is an old-school arcade machine that rewards you for recycling your old mobile phone. Instead of a coin, insert your old phone and play some great games! You'll have the peace of mind that you've made an important contribution to the environment.
Funky Phone E-waste Arcades are built from waste electronics and sustainable wood. A discarded computer and monitor have been used in the machines. The old washing machine in the design also shows how electronics can be reused. The E-waste Arcades are thus a fine example project for a circular economy, an economy in which raw materials are reused or recycled instead of discarded.
The TU Delft Green Office is collaborating with E-waste Arcades to feature this installation at the festival. Through this we can get that little bit closer to making the university a place of environmentally responsible and sensitive behavior. So bring your old mobile phone along and experience the Funk!
