This year's sixth edition of the CampusRun, organized yearly by Gezelschap Leeghwater, will take place again during the International Festival of Technology. It has become the running event of TU Delft. This year you can participate in teams, with whom you can take part in the relay edition: the Relay Run. A unique running experience where everybody is welcome! What is also very special about this year's edition is that Jan van Gemert, assistant professor and head of the Computer Vision Lab, will do image analysis of images of the CampusRun. During the run pictures will be taken on different locations, participants will be recognized by their bib-numbers en this will by coupled with time and location of the participants. Afterwards the runners can look up them self and find relevant this information about them self.
Furthermore it is no problem if you rather walk or don't like to run. The relay distance is only 10 km for a team of four people, so you only have to run 2.5 km. If you are in better condition or you think of yourself as mentally very strong, you could also opt for a distance of 5 km or 10 km. Next to the adrenaline kick of running, you also contribute to charity. This year you will be supporting the Dutch Paraplegia Organization (Dwarslaesie Organisatie Nederland). This organization helps people with paraplegia or caudal lesion and because of this cannot walk or cannot walk well anymore.
So don't hesitate any longer! Challenge yourself and run for Dwarlaesie Organisatie Nederland! At www.campusrun.gezelschapleeghwater.nl you can find more information on where to register.
